Management Quota

Management Quota at MSRIT How We Guide You

Management Quota is one of the most actively sought and frequently misunderstood admission routes at MSRIT. Here is what it actually is, how it works, and exactly how Engineering Padho helps.

Disclaimer first: Engineering Padho cannot procure, reserve, or guarantee Management Quota seats at MSRIT. All seats are allotted entirely by MSRIT's admissions administration under the Karnataka Private Educational Institutions Act 2006. Anyone claiming to "sell" Management Quota seats is operating outside legal bounds. Our role is strictly independent counselling and guidance.

What is Management Quota at MSRIT?

MSRIT reserves 25% of its B.E. seats (approximately 365 seats across 17 branches) for Management Quota admissions. These seats are filled directly by the college outside the KCET and COMEDK counselling process.

Management Quota is a legitimate, AICTE-permitted admission channel that gives engineering institutions flexibility in student selection. It is governed by the Karnataka Private Educational Institutions Act 2006. MSRIT has officially announced that admissions for 2026–27 are open under Management, NRI, PIO, and Foreign National quotas.

Key facts about MSRIT Management Quota 2026:

  • ~25% of total seats (~365 seats) across all branches
  • CSE / AIML / ISE seats fill fastest act early (April–June)
  • Fees: 1.38 Lakhs/year (CSE) verify current rates with MSRIT
  • Eligibility: PCM + 45% aggregate in 12th standard
  • No mandatory entrance exam but KCET/COMEDK score may reduce development fee
  • NRI / PIO sub-quota also available within the 25% allocation
  • Official contact: admn@msrit.edu | msrit.edu

Common Questions

FAQs MSRIT Admissions

What KCET rank do I need for CSE at MSRIT? +
For KCET 2025, the CSE closing rank at MSRIT was approximately 1,045–1,100 for General category. For COMEDK 2024, it was around 875–1,177 for CSE. For 2026, expect cutoffs to tighten to approximately 1,200–1,300 for KCET and 1,600–1,800 for COMEDK based on trend analysis. Call us for a specific assessment of your rank.
Can out-of-state students get into MSRIT? +
Yes. MSRIT allocates 30% of its seats via COMEDK UGET (open to all India students) and another 25% via Management Quota (open to all India students). KCET is only for Karnataka domicile students. COMEDK CSE at MSRIT is highly competitive the 2024 closing rank was around 875. We help out-of-state students navigate both COMEDK and Management Quota routes specifically.
How does MSRIT Management Quota work for 2026? +
MSRIT has officially confirmed that admissions for 2026–27 are open under Management, NRI, PIO, and Foreign National Quota. Approximately 25% of seats (~365 across branches) are available. You must meet eligibility criteria (PCM + 45% in 12th), apply directly to MSRIT's admissions section at admn@msrit.edu . Having a KCET or COMEDK score may reduce the development fee component. CSE and AIML seats typically fill fastest April to June.
Does MSRIT accept JEE Main scores? +
Some sources indicate JEE Main scores may be considered for Management Quota applications and may help reduce the development fee. However, the primary admission routes at MSRIT are KCET and COMEDK UGET. We strongly recommend verifying this directly with MSRIT at admn@msrit.edu before assuming JEE Main eligibility for regular B.E. admissions.
Can Engineering Padho guarantee a seat at MSRIT? +
No. Engineering Padho is an independent counselling service. We cannot guarantee or secure seats at MSRIT or any college. All admission decisions are made solely by MSRIT. Be very cautious of any service claiming to guarantee MSRIT seats this is not legally or institutionally possible.
Which branch is best at MSRIT for placements? +
CSE, ISE, and AIML consistently have the highest placement rates and the most offers from top-tier companies at MSRIT. ECE also has a strong record, particularly with electronics and semiconductor companies like Intel, NXP, and Texas Instruments. For long-term engineering careers in manufacturing or infrastructure, Mechanical and Civil are solid options. We help you match branch choice to career goals not just placement statistics.
